Location: Pontiac, Michigan (Hybrid 2 days onsite in a week)

Duration: 2 Years

Job Description:

This requisition is for a part-time GIS analyst who is interested in contracting 10-20 hours per week primarily during business hours with the Client Treasurer's Office.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Client Treasurer staff, this GIS Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing and managing spatial data as part of a Geographic Information System. This position plays a key role in planning and coordinating GIS data collection initiatives and projects. This role will serve as a data and technology advocate to promote data sharing collaboration to help improve data-based decision-making.

Key Responsibilities: Edit and maintain existing GIS data. Knowledge of GIS dataset schema design, views, tables and attribution. Prepare and deliver technical written and verbal reports in a clear and logical manner. Work independently and as a member of a team. Coordinate multiple work-streams and meet deadlines. Exercise judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending solutions. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Environment: ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS for Desktop, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS for Mobile, MS Visio, Microsoft 365 Services.
