GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy by accelerating the transition to more reliable, affordable, and sustainable solutions. As a Generator Project Engineering Manager (PEM), you will be responsible for overseeing project engineering outcomes, coordinating resources to ensure timely engineering definitions of components and installation procedures. The PEM will also communicate project status to stakeholders, conduct technical reviews with customers, and provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation of generator components.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage a cross-functional engineering team to define generator components.
  • Own the engineering execution of generator upgrades from contract signature to the completion of GE's contractual obligations.
  • Review customer specifications and communicate project requirements to all design functions using internal documentation systems. Ensure that released components and procedures fulfill contract, regulations and quality requirements.
  • Providing technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and GE's internal engineering teams.
  • Provide technical support to engineering, sourcing, vendors, and installation teams to ensure equipment meets all customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensure risk management tracking, implement risk mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Develop, monitor and coordinate engineering project schedules to ensure parts on time delivery.
  • Manage engineering budget.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university or a High School Diploma / GED and 10+ years of relevant Generator work experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Generator Engineering, Power Generation Operation, Generator related activity
  • Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in complex engineering projects.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative risk management. Generator knowledge and experience is necessary for proper risk management.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400 - $164,000 USD Annual

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 10%.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
