About the Role

We are seeking an EPIC Consultant with hands-on experience in partner and vendor system integrations within the Epic Showroom (App Orchard) ecosystem. This role involves validating integration workflows, reviewing API interactions, and ensuring seamless interoperability between Epic and external healthcare systems or cloud platforms.

This is a fully remote, part-time engagement ideal for professionals with prior Epic integration experience looking for short-term consulting work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical teams to validate and optimize Epic integration workflows with third-party vendor or partner systems.

  • Provide technical guidance on Epic interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, API connections).

  • Support Epic App Orchard / Showroom integration testing and configuration reviews.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface or connectivity issues during integration validation.

  • Offer strategic recommendations to improve scalability and security of integration architecture.

  • Document findings, recommendations, and technical configurations for future reference.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with Epic systems in an integration or interoperability capacity.

  • Proven experience with Epic App Orchard / Showroom applications or Epic APIs.

  • Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, REST APIs, and related healthcare integration standards.

  • Experience integrating Epic with cloud-based or vendor systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc., a plus).

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Epic certification(s) in Interconnect, Bridges, or App Orchard preferred but not mandatory.
