Database Administrator 2 (Lead Data Architect)

Primary Location: Austin, Texas


V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Database Administrator 2 (Lead Data Architect) for our premier client in Austin, Texas.

 

Education and Experience »
  • 7+ years in logical/physical data modeling, ER diagrams, implementing database objects in Oracle Cloud RDBMS and Salesforce CRM, with hands-on PL/SQL and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience generating scripts, writing source-to-target mappings, and guiding ETL development using tools like Azure Data Factory, Informatica.
  • Experience with an HHS agency
  • Healthcare industry experience


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
  • Hands-on knowledge of ETL processes, Tableau dashboard creation, and ADF/Informatica certification and understanding of PERL scripting.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement and fine-tune performance strategies for complex data warehouses, reporting platforms, and transactional systems.
  • Hands-on ETL mapping, writing PL/SQL packages, and working with reporting and analytics teams using Tableau and cloud data tools.
  • Determines and implements database search strategies and storage requirements
  • Maintains data dictionary ensuring uniformity of definitions and sets standards for use of data dictionary.
  • Monitors database performance and recommends efficiency improvements.
  • Executes the procedures necessary to save, retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures within established procedures
  • Assists in the selection of database management software. Experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming work. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systems design; of computer operations, systems, and procedures; of project control and cost estimating techniques; of computer programming languages; of data processing flowcharting techniques
  • Lead the development of logical and physical data models, ER diagrams, database objects, and integration of new data into existing data environments.
