Role Overview
Seeking a senior Workday Application Developer to support the implementation and ongoing optimization of Workday HCM and Financials. This role will act as a hands-on technical SME, owning integrations, configurations, reporting, and post-production support across HR, Payroll, and Finance domains.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Configuration
Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
Configure and maintain business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and custom validations
Develop and support Workday custom reports
Troubleshoot and resolve system and integration issues end to end
Integration Management
Build and maintain integrations between Workday and third-party systems (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance)
Monitor scheduled integrations and resolve failures or data inconsistencies
Document integration designs, configurations, and data flows
Optimize existing integrations for performance and reliability
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards for business and compliance needs
Translate user reporting requirements into scalable Workday solutions
Automate report scheduling and distribution
Support & Collaboration
Provide technical support to business users and agencies
Maintain system documentation including workflows, configurations, and design specs
Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs
Participate in change control and configuration management
Gather and document requirements for break/fix and enhancement requests
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
(Additional experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis)
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise systems such as Workday HCM, Payroll, Financials, Reporting, and Web Services
Demonstrated experience as a primary technical resource in Workday implementation or post-production environments
Strong exposure to HCM, Payroll, and Financial systems
Core Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Deep business process understanding with the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong stakeholder relationships
High standards for data security, confidentiality, and compliance
Workday certified training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
