Job Details

Summary
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role focuses on enabling the organization to leverage cloud technologies to optimize application performance, improve business agility and reduce operational costs.
The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with software development, security, and IT operations teams to architect cloud-native solutions, automate deployments, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Drive the strategic design and execution of the firm s cloud migration roadmap to Microsoft Azure.
Lead end-to-end architecture, planning, and implementation of scalable and secure Azure-based infrastructure.
Assess and modernize existing systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in the cloud.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on Azure services, patterns, and best practices.
Define and enforce cloud governance policies, security controls, and compliance standards across environments.
Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.
Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure resilient and well-monitored cloud deployments.
Oversee performance monitoring, capacity planning, and cloud cost optimization strategies.
Evaluate and recommend Azure-native services and third-party tools to support automation, CI/CD, and observability.

Qualifications
Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migrations and cloud-native architecture on Microsoft Azure.
Deep expertise in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Networks, App Services, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices.
Strong understanding of identity and access management, networking, and security within Azure.
Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
Azure Certifications (preferred or required):
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred/required)
o Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (preferred)
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (a plus)

Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
