By joining our Engineering Internship program, you will become a valued member of our team - tackling challenging issues, delivering truly impactful results, and providing you the opportunity to grow both technically and personally through practical working experience. You will use the fundamental principles of mechanical, electrical, industrial, or other engineering disciplines to support the design, evaluation, and improvement of new products as well as existing components and/or systems.
Summer - Mechanical Engineering Internship - (SSO Division, Location: Hauppauge, NY)

Summer - Mechanical Engineering Internship - (SSO Division, Location: Hauppauge, NY)
Position Responsibilities:
With direct supervision, you will learn and perform the various aspects of the engineering function by:
- Exercise logic of troubleshooting hands on board level troubleshooting.
- Interns investigate active issues on electrical boards using schematics, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and logic analyzers, applying structured root cause methods (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D/A3) in a real production environment.
- Acquiring knowledge of various engineering department's operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
- Observing work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments.
- Using engineering skills to conduct analysis and modeling, engage in product design, develop and execute testing procedures, and participate in facilities engineering work.
- Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
- Attending related training and applying it in work assignments.
- Performing other related responsibilities.
Requirements:
Being enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in a related engineering field such as:
Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a variety of engineering assignments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
