Job Title: JIRA Administrator
Location: Remote

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced JIRA Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize Atlassian Jira environments in alignment with Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will support multiple teams, ensure smooth workflow automation, and deliver scalable solutions for project and issue tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence instances.
- Create and manage workflows, schemes, fields, boards, permissions, and dashboards.
- Implement automation rules, integrations, and plugins to improve efficiency.
- Support Agile teams with Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe structures.
- Perform user and group management, access controls, and security configurations.
- Migrate / upgrade Jira instances and troubleshoot system issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for requirements gathering and process improvements.
- Manage and optimize Jira performance, data integrity, and reporting.
- Support Jira Service Management (if applicable) for ITSM operations.
- Maintain system documentation, best practices, and release notes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 5+ years of Jira Administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Jira Software
- Confluence
- Jira Service Management
- Strong knowledge of:
- JQL, Custom Fields, Workflows, Automation
- Permission and Notification Schemes
- Marketplace Apps / Plugins (ex: Script Runner, Tempo, Zephyr)
- Experience in REST APIs, scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python), or integration tools.
- Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).
- Ability to troubleshoot system-level issues and implement scalable solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred / Good to Have:
- Atlassian Certifications (ACP-JA, ACP-JSW, etc.)
- Experience with Bitbucket / Git, CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Cloud vs. Data Centre administration.
- Experience deploying Jira for large, enterprise environments.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
