Senior Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite in Boulder, CO
Compensation: $120K-$140K upon conversion

About the Role

Aurora Organic Dairy (AOD) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure. This role bridges the gap between architecture and administration-turning high-level designs into secure, efficient deployments. You'll work closely with our Network Architect and IT Operations team to build a resilient, modern network that supports AOD's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement network designs across Fortinet, Cisco, and other platforms.
  • Configure and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, FortiAPs, and FortiManager environments.
  • Deploy and maintain high-availability systems for network resilience.
  • Optimize network topology, redundancy, and capacity in collaboration with the Network Architect.
  • Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot WAN/LAN/WLAN and VPN performance.
  • Manage network security: firewall policy audits, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance.
  • Document configurations, standards, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Mentor Network Administrator and assist with escalated incidents.
  • Support IT projects like network modernization and IoT security segmentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boulder, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
