A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) SWIFT SR2025

Position type: Contract

Location: New York 10036 (Hybrid)

Description:

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) SWIFT SR2025, you will:

  • Interpret SWIFT SR2025 Release Notes and documentation, translating them into actionable system and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify impacted systems and define scope of changes.
  • Provide detailed analysis of specification changes (message types, schemas, field-level updates, etc.) and articulate their implications.
  • Guide stakeholders through technical and business impact assessments, ensuring readiness across affected teams and systems.
  • Assist in creating and aligning System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases with SR2025 specification changes.
  • Work closely with QA and testing teams to ensure all changes are accurately reflected in test scenarios and test execution plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and compliance, facilitating clear communication and shared understanding of SWIFT changes.
  • Contribute to migration planning, risk identification, and issue resolution throughout the SR2025 adoption lifecycle.
  • Support documentation efforts including business requirements, technical change documentation, and training materials.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX), including hands-on experience with previous SWIFT releases (e.g., SR2023/SR2024).
  • Strong expertise in ISO 20022 and SWIFT FIN standards, including message structure, validation rules, and release documentation.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and translate SWIFT release specifications into system and process changes.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and documenting impacted systems and dependencies based on specification updates.
  • Experience collaborating with QA/testing teams to tie requirements to SIT/UAT test cases and execution plans.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or payments systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools and SDLC processes.

The ideal candidate will :- Be responsible for translating SWIFT SR2025 release notes into actionable system requirements, assessing business and technical impacts, and supporting end-to-end implementation, including testing alignment.
