Job Details

NC DHHS ITD is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Solutions Developer to support application enhancements and ongoing development for the Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH). This role requires a technical expert with strong experience in Salesforce solutions, capable of bridging business needs with secure, scalable architecture and providing hands-on support for customized Salesforce applications.

The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technical leads, and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-level solutions, ensuring compliance with best practices, security standards, and change management processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SMEs, Tech Leads, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Design secure, scalable Salesforce architectures that align with data security and performance standards.

  • Lead solutioning sessions, code reviews, and release planning workshops.

  • Oversee Copado deployments and best practices in release/change management.

  • Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, user story decomposition, and acceptance criteria.

  • Assist in Salesforce environment setup and CI/CD pipeline processes.

  • Create technical documentation, solution diagrams, and data models.

  • Mentor project teams on Salesforce best practices and governance.


Required Skills & Certifications:

  • 4+ years experience with GitHub, Copado, Jira for change and release management.

  • Salesforce Admin I & II Certification.

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II and/or Platform App Builder Certification.

  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification.

  • Copado I & II Certification and CRT Certification.

  • Experience with Salesforce Shield, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Gov Cloud.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce requirements gathering, analysis, and technical diagrams.

  • Experience with OwnBackup installation and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).


Preferred:

  • Experience working with Federal or State government agencies.

  • Prior involvement with Salesforce Centers of Excellence (CoE) or best practice oversight teams.
