Linux /Active Directory/Splunk/DNS; TX

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components such as Database, GRID Computing, Enterprise Job Schedulers Messaging Platforms
• Work on migration projects related to servers, Active Directory OU , Datacentre, Non Permitted technology ,Upgrade of Applications , LEAPP, etc.
• Support and troubleshoot issue with servers infrastructure migrating to Azure Cloud
• Support project related migration from Bare Metal to High performance VM's
• Support server infrastructure related to Generative AI applications
• Support and monitor application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies
• Ensure application issues on supported infrastructures are addressed, proactively fixed even before user impact
• Work on tool development, automation, release management, troubleshooting issues, Capacity DR planning
• Provide analysis of Infrastructure capacity review to ensure a sufficient level of infrastructure capacity, availability, and resiliency

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Linux administration, programming experience in at least one language (Python, Shell scripting, etc.)
• Excellent operational skills, troubleshooting production and network issues and identifying root cause prevention
• Able to connect the dots and conclude complex Infrastructure issues quickly with minimal supervision
• Exposure to core troubleshooting tools and automation
• Strong experience in Infrastructure automation using either of Ansible or Python
• Self-motivated and results oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities
• Exposure and working experience with large scale environments
• Background in large enterprise experience
• Ability to link business context to technical requirements
• Able to work in a fast paced environment whilst meeting deadlines
• Expert knowledge of Python programming language
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Process adherence and efficiency in handling Incident and problem management
• Experience in monitoring, and observability tools such as ELK, FluentD, Prometheus, Splunk, ITRS, etc.

Desired skills:

• Experience with supporting Cloud technologies (Azure ,etc.)
• Experience with supporting Generative AI infrastructure platform

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68
