Role: AFS Vision Business Analyst

Location: Multiple locations to choose from Auburn Hills, MI, Farmington MI or Frisco, TX or Remote for those out of commutable range to those locations

Onsite requirement: 2-3 days a week (if within commutable distance)

Terms: Contract with options to extend

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in AFS Vision and commercial lending operations to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in bridging business needs and technology solutions, with a focus on supporting system implementation, testing phases (SIT/UAT), and ensuring a seamless end-to-end commercial lending lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, IT, operations, testing) to support SIT and UAT testing cycles in AFS Vision.
• Analyze and document business and functional requirements across commercial lending operations.
• Provide hands-on expertise in AFS Vision modules including Closing, Boarding, Servicing, Processing, Collateral, Payoffs, Reporting, and more.
• Understand and analyze financial components such as accounting, reconciliation, and money movements associated with commercial lending.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively across project stakeholders to ensure successful testing, implementation, and support.
• Contribute to the design and validation of business processes and workflows aligned with compliance and regulatory needs.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong functional and technical expertise in AFS Vision, including workflows and data structures.
• Proven experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with AFS Vision.
• In-depth knowledge of the commercial lending lifecycle, including syndicated loans.
• Experience in analyzing and validating financial data, accounting entries, and reconciliation processes.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, especially with multidisciplinary teams (Operations, Finance, Technology, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and develop functional requirements for lending platforms.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Familiarity with AFS Vision integrations (e.g., downstream reporting, data warehouses).
• Experience in test strategy planning or defect triage in large-scale financial services programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory/compliance requirements in commercial lending.
• Hands-on experience with related systems and functions such as:
• Lockbox, ACH (PEP+), core banking
• Construction lending, letters of credit, wires
• Understanding of the entire banking lifecycle from CRM to Loan Portfolio Management.
