Summary:

Leidos is seeking Senior Penetration Testers (Network Engineer V) to join the Chicago Airport Cyber Security Program at O Hare and Midway. These roles will execute advanced penetration testing operations across applications, networks, and enterprise systems within highly secured airport environments. Candidates must have proven expertise in offensive security, vulnerability assessment, and reporting remediation strategies in compliance with DHS and industry best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct penetration testing across web, network, and infrastructure layers.

  • Utilize both commercial and open-source tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, Nmap, etc.).

  • Execute controlled test activities following established operational guidance.

  • Document detailed findings and actionable remediation recommendations.

  • Collaborate with SOC, defensive, and engineering teams to validate and resolve vulnerabilities.

  • Contribute to tool development and methodology improvements.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree + 8 years (or Master s + 6 years) related cybersecurity experience.

  • Minimum 8 years in penetration testing, incident response, or cyber forensics.

  • Hands-on with 3+ of the following: Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Cobalt Strike, Tenable Nessus, WebInspect, Scuba, AppDetective.

  • Must hold one or more certifications: GPEN, GWAPT, GISF, GXPN, OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, OSEE, CISSP, or CEH.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior IT security, audit, or system administration experience.

  • Background in computer science or cybersecurity engineering.
