Front End Software Engineer

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer with strong architectural design capabilities and a passion for improving legacy code. This role requires deep expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript, along with strong debugging and code analysis skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, navigating complex codebases, and contributing to clean, maintainable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, debug, and improve legacy or poorly structured codebases


• Design and implement scalable architecture using React and Node.js


• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in TypeScript


• Review and understand existing codebases quickly and effectively


• Contribute to CI/CD processes and ensure code quality through automated pipelines


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Qualifications

• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript


• Deep understanding of React and Node.js


• Experience with architectural design and system-level thinking


• Strong debugging skills and the ability to navigate unfamiliar or poorly written code


• Excellent code reading and comprehension skills


• CI/CD pipeline experience is a strong plus


• Media industry experience is not required


• Experience with LightningJS is not required

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $77-87/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
