Job Description
You will be the Systems Engineer Stf for a Mission Systems (MS) Test Planning and Execution Team within an I&T Organization responsible for the integration and test of supplier procured software & hardware products with Lockheed Martin developed software capabilities. This team focuses on system-level integration and test in a laboratory environment using hardware-in-the-loop and modeling and simulation tools to mature a Mission Systems suite prior to release to flight test. Activities will include Mission Systems SW integration, execution of pilot-in-the-loop tests, evaluation of Mission Systems functionality, documentation of test results, and assisting SW Developers and Subsystem SMEs with diagnosis/troubleshooting.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for all software testing of Tactical Aviation MS efforts, which encompass a broad range of capabilities and contexts. This includes both mission-related capabilities, such as air system lethality and survivability, and core infrastructure capabilities, including system health and diagnostics, among others. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and executing system level tests that capture how modern tactical aircraft are used in operational environments and comprehend the fundamentals of Airborne Radars, EO/IR Sensors, ESM, EW, CNI, tactical datalinks, weapons integration, mission planning equipment, and PVI.
Working in a software development environment where software pipelines are used to build, test, and deploy software products to development and integration environments and laboratories.
Willing to be open-minded to embracing new approaches to continuously integrating, testing, and delivering aviation mission systems relative to legacy waterfall programs.
Expected to be asked at times to conduct business in vastly revolutionary ways than to which they are accustomed.
Leadership abilities needed to assist a team of multidisciplinary engineers to quickly determine and implement their system test needs.

Basic Qualifications

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
