About the Role
Our Vehicles team at Uber empowers Earners (Drivers and Delivery People) and Suppliers of all sizes to access and manage vehicles profitably, while creating near and long term value for Uber. As a Senior PM, expect to be at the forefront of building the technology and experiences Earners use to find vehicles and determine how suppliers grow and manage their businesses on Uber!

We play a pivotal role in identifying, scoping and unlocking the growth bets that can drive the next large step change opportunities for Uber's vehicles team! Areas of focus include:
  • Leading efforts to develop innovative ways for Uber to partner with 3rd party fleets to deliver better business outcomes and unlock new product verticals
  • Developing and leading a roadmap to enable scale of autonomous vehicles on Uber through third party fleet management
  • Drive our roadmap and strategy for the development of features that use real time vehicle data to unlock new experiences for Earners
What the Candidate Will Do
  • Internalize and deeply understand Uber's mission and strategies, as well as how the Vehicles team's mission and objectives factor into the company strategy
  • Be incredibly truth-seeking. Collect whatever data is necessary to inform product direction by soliciting and embracing critical feedback
  • Find opportunities for new products that demonstrate Uber's global scale and build upon its existing vehicles infrastructure to provide unique and lasting customer value
  • Partner with User Experience Research, Regional Operation and Support teams to seek insights on problems for both Vehicle Suppliers and Earners and evangelize those problems, along with your proposed solutions, across Uber
  • Clearly communicate plans, insights, data and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, other product teams, and other decision-makers across Uber
  • Drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of the next growth bet(s) for the vehicles team that will further enable the scaling of Uber's line of businesses
  • The role demands both, seeing the big picture and identifying strategically meaningful problems, as well as, the ability to investigate opportunities for significant product changes that are a business enabler and engagement driver
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a minimum 5 years of Product Management experience working on consumer and/or enterprise facing products.
  • Thorough experience collaborating with working with Design, Engineering, Data Science.
  • Data driven and capable - you're resourceful getting the data you need and able to craft it into an insightful story.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A background where you've had to roll up your sleeves, you're ready to get the job done even if it means taking on extra responsibilities outside of a typical PM mandate.
  • Prior experience growing a new business vertical or team from the ground up.
  • Expertise / background in directly related industries - e.g. rideshare, vehicle financing or rental / fleet businesses.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$174,000 per year - USD$193,500 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$174,000 per year - USD$193,500 per year.
