Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Start Date: Immediate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Palo Alto firewalls and SD-WAN technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure network solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment. This role will play a critical part in maintaining high availability, performance, and security posture of the organization s network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto firewall solutions (PA Series / VM-Series)
Configure and maintain Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, security policies, and threat prevention modules
Deploy and support SD-WAN architectures including traffic steering, dynamic path selection, ZTP, and failover
Integrate Palo Alto security with Azure / AWS cloud environments
Perform firewall rule optimization, policy clean-up, and audits
Troubleshoot network security issues (L3/L4/L7) and resolve incident escalations
Support HA configuration, NAT, BGP/OSPF routing, and IPSEC VPNs
Monitor security events and collaborate with SOC for remediation
Maintain documentation of network topology, firewall rule sets, and configurations
Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams for secure connectivity

Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
3+ years of experience with SD-WAN solutions (Palo Alto SD-WAN preferred)
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPN, NAT, ACLs
Hands-on experience with cloud security integration (Azure, AWS)
Deep understanding of Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, WildFire, and SSL Decryption
Experience in deploying HA firewalls, ZTP, and troubleshooting complex network issues
Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (Splunk, Syslog, SNMP)

Preferred Qualifications:
PCNSE Certification (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer)
Cisco CCNP Security or equivalent certifications
Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Checkpoint (nice to have)
