Product Manager - Digital Products Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid of 60% or more remote along with onsite work) – Needs to be based in Southern CA.
Contract Duration – May 2025 – March 31 2026
Our client’s Digital Product Team supports a variety of distinguished finance websites, including a customer service agent console and other digital tools. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Product Manager who will be focused on maintaining high standards for large project launches for quality, cost, and delivery. This Product Manager will oversee product design, development, testing, launch and warranty. This individual will also maintain high standards for production support, such as up-time, operational continuity and triage of incidents and bugs. They must be comfortable leading a team despite ambiguity and be able to quickly flex to changing conditions.
Our client is dedicated to improving their products through large projects, enhancements, and production support. These products include:
Finance Websites:
- Support client finance customers in the digital web channel.
- Expand self-service functionality to enable customers to easily manage their accounts online
Finance Mobile App:
- New channel to launch soon which will be a mobile app channel for customers to make payments easily.
Insurance Websites:
- Support Insurance Solutions business in the digital web channel.
Agent Service Console + Agent Knowledge:
- Customer service representatives use consoles to serve customer requests.
- Knowledge Base will summarize standard operating procedures to help representatives understand how to do their jobs best.
Customer Communications + Marketing Cloud Platform:
- Customer communications via message center, email, SMS, web notifications, banner notifications and partner managed messages.
- Care and feeding of technical platforms and templates.
Daily responsibilities of this Product Manager will include the following:
- Have direct ownership of prominent digital tools visited by millions of customers.
- Lead the Product Management team
- Work with CX, business, development and testing resources to imagine, write, deliver, and test user stories.
- Oversee Product Owners and Business Analysts.
- Oversee UX and testing resources.
- Lead Agile Scrum teams and engage development, marketing, legal and other business / IT / enterprise stakeholders in a large matrix organization. Y
- Meet with leadership to articulate art of the possible and gain approvals for initiatives
- Maintain operations through platform, license management, cost management, etc.
- Be a catalyst for change to evangelize and transform to next generation capabilities.
- Utilize platform roadmap to maximize the product roadmap
- Create and monitor health, utilization, technical debt and other metrics and improvement plans
Required Skills and Expertise:
- BA/BS degree
- Agile certification for Product Owner or Scrum Master (SAFe Agile is preferred )
- Robust Salesforce product expertise and credentials.
- Salesforce certifications (preferred)
or
- The ability and commitment to gain a Salesforce Admin Certification within 12 months of joining the team (at own expense)
- Experience delivering winning experiences for top brands (via digital tools visited by a large customer base)
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity, evolve to changing conditions and are fundamentally analytical, analyzing data to generate insights and provide steady influence to define and meet goals.
- Ability to perform decision analysis on tool and vendor selections.
- 5-8 years of product management, product development or product operations experience.
- 5-7 years of leadership experience, managing mixed teams: business / IT, internal / external, onshore / nearshore / offshore.
- 2-5 years of experience with customer facing top brand digital product.
- 2+ years of roadmap and business planning experience.
- Experience driving procurement process from identification of options, evaluations and RFI/RFP selection of tools and vendors.
- 2+ years of direct leadership experience, managing associates.
- Ability to inspire art of the possible to improve upon status quo.
- Ability to influence executive management with effective verbal and written communications; Strength in advocacy of business/IT needs and user experience.
- Development of budget plans.
- Outstanding written and verbal multidisciplinary communication skills with experience engaging with subject matter experts through executive stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
- Understanding quality assurance, testing is a plus
- 2 years of payment processing, financial services or captive finance industry experience preferred
- Mobile app experience (Preferred)
