What You Will Do

  • Assist with a 6-month long project that will create new build and deployment automation to support ongoing code package and patch deployments to a pre-existing, on-premises system built with Oracle OFSAA software.
  • Self-motivated and proactively seeks knowledge of the systems and tasks for which they are assigned.
  • Perform change management.
  • Document knowledge and procedures.
  • Manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities.

  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

Skills and Experience You Will Need

Required:

  • 5-7 years' experience in an Engineer/Developer or DevOps-related role
  • 5+ years' experience working with Linux operating systems (ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux), especially experiences working with file systems and permissions, systems services, privilege escalation with sudo and su .
  • 5+ years' experience working with deployment and configuration automation tooling, preferably Digital.ai Release and Deploy or equivalent (ex. Salt, Ansible)
  • Experience working with Git (preferably Atlassian Bitbucket variant)
  • Advance knowledge of bash scripting
  • Intermediate knowledge of Python scripting
  • Some knowledge of SQL (preferably Oracle SQL variant) and Korn Shell scripting.
  • Some knowledge of Apache and Tomcat

Desired

  • Prior experience installing, building, and configuring Oracle OFSAA software are preferred.

Education:

  • College / University or equivalent work experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
