Job Details

Role: EOSL Project Manager

Location: Remote

Rate: $55/Hr. on C2C

The EOSL Project Manager leads the remediation of software components reaching end-of-life (EOL), ensuring business continuity and compliance. This role involves managing discovery, planning, remediation, testing, and stakeholder communication across large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery & Assessment

Analyze the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to identify all servers, applications, and frameworks in scope.

Determine current vs. target versions of OS, frameworks, and applications.

Categorize applications (COTS, third-party, custom) and assess compatibility gaps.

Finalize remediation scope and build structured evaluation templates.

Remediation Planning & Execution

Develop and execute remediation plans for deprecated components.

Submit service requests for upgrades via SCCM or other deployment tools.

Update environment variables, configuration files, and codebases to align with new frameworks.

Replace obsolete libraries and resolve deprecated functions and API calls.

Testing & Validation

Define and execute testing strategies including

Pre-remediation baseline testing

Regression and performance testing

Mobile device testing (if applicable)

Integration testing based on complexity

Ensure QA entry/exit criteria are met and secure stakeholder sign-offs.

Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with SMEs, application owners, and infrastructure teams.

Manage dependencies, permissible outages, release cycles, and freeze windows.

Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation handover.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Proven track record in managing large-scale software remediation or infrastructure upgrade projects.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with static code analysis, SCCM, CI/CD pipelines, various Cloud technologies, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS etc. and software architecture.

Project Management: Strong skills in planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and agile methodologies.

Tools: Proficiency in project tracking tools, testing frameworks, and configuration management systems.
