Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Hybrid
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)
Hours per Week: 37.5

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst (SQA) to support the planning, design, and execution of system testing for a large-scale noticing solution. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA peers within an Agile environment to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions.

The SQA will be hands-on in conducting functional, regression, and system integration testing using scripts, tools, and automated processes. The position requires publishing results to stakeholders and ensuring testing outcomes align with project goals. The ideal candidate is motivated to deliver 100% quality and bug-free solutions, while ensuring system requirements are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply established testing standards and protocols, following test plans to ensure quality deliverables.

  • Review notice specifications and functional/technical requirements to confirm testability.

  • Define test scenarios to validate development against requirements.

  • Develop and execute reusable test cases/scripts based on requirements and user stories.

  • Perform data setup, execute tests, and report results.

  • Participate in defect triage meetings, testing sync calls, and stand-ups; provide defect and root cause details.

  • Conduct API/service testing and automation using tools such as SOAP UI or Postman.

  • Perform system integration, functional, regression, positive/negative, and accessibility testing.

  • Support production defect troubleshooting, retesting, and timely patch verification.

  • Analyze test results critically and provide recommendations for informed decision-making.

  • Identify, communicate, and escalate risks and issues.

  • Contribute actively across all phases of the SDLC in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to interpret and test data formats (JSON, XML, HTML, etc.).

  • Experience with external applications and data integration testing.

  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, JAWS.

  • Proficiency in database query tools (pgAdmin4, SQL Developer, TOAD, etc.).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).

  • 4+ years experience in end-to-end QA testing of software/IT applications.

  • 2+ years supporting eligibility management processes.

  • Experience in healthcare or government projects with knowledge of healthcare insurance principles and eligibility systems.

  • Preferred: Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) tools such as OpenText Exstream or similar.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree.

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a QA Analyst in software/IT application testing.

  • Minimum 2 years eligibility management experience.

  • API/service testing and automation experience using Postman, SOAP UI, or similar tools.

  • Hands-on experience with database query tools.
