Cloud & Platform Architect having experience in end-to-end discovery, assessment, and strategic design of enterprise application workloads. The role involves evaluating current architectures, performing Azure Well-Architected Reviews, identifying gaps, and designing scalable, resilient future-state architectures aligned with business growth and performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Current State Assessment
- Conduct architectural workshops and stakeholder interviews
- Review existing cloud/on-prem infrastructure, integrations, and data flows
- Experience in Azure API Management, Function Apps, L:ogic Apps, Azure Apps Services, Azure Monitor and Azure Redis cache.
- Experience in omni-channel front end layer involving IVR systems, Content management server, Web App and Mobile app
- Document current architecture diagrams and technology stack
Azure Well-Architected Review
- Evaluate workloads against the five Azure WAF pillars: reliability, security, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and operational excellence
- Produce WAF scoring and remediation recommendations
Gap Analysis
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, technical debt, and architectural misalignments
- Map gaps against business requirements and Azure best practices
Future State Architecture Design
- Develop target-state architecture with focus on cloud-native scalability, security, and performance
- Incorporate Azure services (APIM, Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, WAF, Function Apps, Logic Apps, etc.)
- Design DR and high availability strategy
Performance Analysis
- Coordinate load testing results with telemetry (Dynatrace, New Relic, App Insights)
- Recommend optimizations based on system behaviour under stress
Roadmap & Recommendations
- Prioritize initiatives and design transformation roadmap
- Present executive-ready deliverables including Future state architecture, TCO, risk mitigation, and implementation plan
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Deep experience with Microsoft Azure: IaaS, PaaS, integration, security, and governance
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure-native services: APIM, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, WAF, App Gateway, App Services
- Experience with Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Familiarity with on-prem systems: VMware, Oracle Utility Management and Backend systems.
- Understanding of IVR solutions and integration with Azure
- Familiarity with APM tools (Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, App Insights)
- Basic understanding of performance/load testing tools and patterns
Architecture & Design Skills:
- Proficiency in reference architecture design, TOGAF, or other architecture frameworks
- Capability to model high-availability, disaster recovery, and scalability
- Experience in building cloud transformation roadmaps
Consulting & Soft Skills:
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions
- Workshop facilitation and stakeholder alignment skills
- Strong documentation and executive briefing abilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Azure Solution Architect Certification (AZ-305) preferred
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture framework (optional but valuable)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures
- Familiarity with Terraform/Bicep or ARM templates for cloud blueprinting
