  • Conduct in-depth benchmarking studies to evaluate industry best practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and execute comprehensive testing protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Analyze test data and provide technical insights to support product development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and compliance records.
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to ensure safety requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory updates related to automotive safety standards.

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive engineering
  • Strong understanding of occupant protection systems, crashworthiness principles, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of interior trim materials, vehicle systems, and their interactions, particularly in the context of occupant protection
  • Familiarity with federal and global safety standards
  • Proven experience working with testing facilities and processes, including test plan development, execution, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical support to application teams globally, resolving complex issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards

Even better, you may have...
  • Master's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering
  • Experience and/or understanding of FMVSS 201U Compliance
