Position Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist with strong AI/ML development experience to join our team onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This role focuses on developing intelligent solutions using payer data in the healthcare domain. You will play a key role in designing and implementing data-driven models and tools that solve real business problems.

This is a developer role, not just analytics you must be comfortable building and deploying machine learning models in production. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be working closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models using healthcare payer data.

• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver insights.

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ML model APIs.

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to extract valuable insights and features.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into existing platforms.

• Ensure models are explainable, auditable, and comply with healthcare data standards.

• Present findings, model outputs, and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Stay current with AI/ML trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning models.

• Strong programming skills in Python (scikit-learn, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).

• Experience working with healthcare payer data (e.g., claims, billing, utilization, or risk scoring).

• Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised ML techniques, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.

• Proficient in deploying ML models via APIs using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.

• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to explain complex technical topics to business users.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HIPAA-compliant environments and secure data handling.

• Knowledge of healthcare standards like HL7, FHIR, or payer-provider interactions.

• Exposure to NLP or time-series modeling in healthcare.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) for ML development and deployment.
