Job Details

Overview:
We re consistently supporting a Houston-based energy company with contract opportunities for Senior Data Engineers who have deep experience building modern data platforms in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). These roles typically involve working onsite with midstream/oil & gas teams to build and maintain scalable Lakehouse infrastructure and data pipelines.

If you re a hands-on engineer with strong Python, SQL, and DBT skills and experience in Delta Lake, Iceberg, or S3-based architectures I d love to connect and keep you in our priority pipeline.

Typical Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in data-focused environments

  • Expert-level skills in Python and SQL

  • Production experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)

  • Experience building or supporting Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or similar Lakehouse technologies

  • Strong cloud experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, EMR) or Azure/Google Cloud Platform equivalents

  • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, GitHub Actions, or Terraform

  • Exposure to Kubernetes, Spark, or real-time data processing is a plus

  • Background in midstream oil & gas, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise data platforms is highly desirable

Additional Notes:

  • Most roles are 100% onsite in Houston (downtown)

  • Long-term contracts, typically 6 12+ months

  • W2 and C2C options available
