The leadership team is highly focused on technical initiatives and is looking for passionate individuals to contribute to the advancement and development of their application environment.

We are seeking a results-driven Portfolio Manager to oversee and coordinate a portfolio of complex software and hardware delivery programs. This strategic role is responsible for aligning cross-functional initiatives with organizational objectives, ensuring that technology investments in both software development and hardware infrastructure drive business value.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of product lifecycle management, program governance, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams across engineering, operations, procurement, and IT.

Position Summary:

  • Define and maintain portfolio structure, ensuring all software and hardware delivery projects are aligned to strategic goals.
  • Develop and manage portfolio roadmaps, schedules, and interdependencies, including integration of hardware and software development lifecycles.
  • Monitor progress, track key KPIs, and report on overall health of the portfolio to senior leadership.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent software and hardware projects across various phases ideation, development, testing, release, deployment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across projects, with an emphasis on scope, resources, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with executive sponsors, product owners, engineering, and operations to ensure alignment and prioritization of deliverables.
  • Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and produce portfolio-level dashboards and updates.
  • Manage vendor relationships and external partners involved in software and hardware manufacturing or support.
  • Efficiently allocate budgets and resources across projects to maximize ROI, while tracking portfolio spend, forecasting costs, and optimizing delivery within financial constraints.
  • Support capacity planning and talent development by working closely with department leaders.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Portfolio and Program Management, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in budget management, financial reporting, and cost forecasting across complex technology programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale and tailor processes to fit the organizational maturity and project needs.
  • Deep expertise in portfolio management principles, tools, and governance models.
  • Hands-on experience managing both infrastructure and application delivery projects.
  • Proficient in working within Agile and SAFe environments, with strong familiarity with iterative planning and cross-team coordination.
  • Understanding of hardware/software integrated solutions, including mobile platforms and embedded systems.
  • Proficient with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, and relevant financial tracking software.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic mindset with operational agility and the ability to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or PMP/PMI certification preferred).
  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, SAFe, ITIL, or similar.
