Job Description
Business Development Manager (Electrical Panels)

We're seeking a dynamic and technically savvy Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Control Panel business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and client engagement-someone who can speak the language of engineers, understand the shop floor, and close deals with confidence.

You'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and serving as a subject matter expert in control panel systems. Your work will directly shape the future of our panel shop operations and contribute to our national expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth by identifying and securing new panel construction opportunities in target markets.
  • Act as the technical face of the business, providing subject matter expertise on components, construction methods, pricing, and application engineering.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to pursue national opportunities and support cross-selling across business units.
  • Lead estimating and quotation efforts for panel projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic input to improve panel shop operations, product offerings, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities in the CRM system.
  • Support forecasting, production planning, and coordination with estimating and operations teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings as a senior leader of the panel business.

What You Bring
  • Proven experience in business development or technical sales within the electrical or control panel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of control panel design, construction, and application.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and field operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset with a high level of initiative and personal drive.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field-or equivalent industry experience.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and blueprint reading.
  • Experience mentoring or training team members in a technical environment.

Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a growing, forward-thinking company with a strong reputation in the electrical construction space.
  • Work in a collaborative environment where your technical expertise and business acumen are valued.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
