Job Title: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Architect
Location: Plano, TX (Remote is fine if can work in CST time Zone
Experience: 8 12+ Years (5+ years with Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Employment Type: Long Term W2 Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Architect to design, lead, and deliver scalable, data-driven marketing automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, strong architectural and integration skills, and the ability to translate business and marketing requirements into secure, high-performing technical solutions across multi-channel campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Mobile Studio, and Advertising Studio
- Lead solution design for complex marketing use cases involving personalization, segmentation, and omnichannel customer journeys
- Design and implement data models leveraging Contact Builder, Data Extensions, and synchronized data sources
- Architect integrations between Marketing Cloud and:
- Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Salesforce Service Cloud
- External systems via APIs, SFTP, and middleware platforms
- Provide technical leadership during discovery, design, build, testing, and deployment phases
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, consent management, and security standards (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.)
- Guide development teams on best practices, performance optimization, and scalability
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, marketing teams, and executives
- Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution design artifacts
- Support post-launch optimization, troubleshooting, and enhancements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder
- SQL (Data Extensions), AMPscript, HTML/CSS
- Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, and data integrations
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud Connect and cross-cloud data synchronization
- Familiarity with identity resolution, preference centers, and data governance
- Experience with multi-org and multi-brand architectures
Architectural & Professional Skills
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale marketing automation solutions
- Strong understanding of customer data platforms (CDP concepts) and personalization strategies
- Ability to translate business and marketing requirements into technical architecture
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Consultant, Developer, Architect)
- Experience with Salesforce CDP or other CDP platforms
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and middleware tools
- Background in retail, financial services, healthcare, or high-volume B2C marketing environments
- Consulting or agency experience with multiple client implementations
