ETL Tester

Position Details:

Position: ETL Tester

Location: Pennington, NJ and Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hr.

Duration: 12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior QA Tester with over 7 years of experience in ETL Testing and SQL Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in validating data pipelines, working with DB2 databases, and a good understanding of Hadoop architecture. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work in a fast-paced environment and ensure the quality of data processes across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end ETL testing to validate data transformations, loads, and business logic.


• Conduct thorough SQL-based testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems.


• Work with DB2 databases for test validation and data analysis.


• Understand and validate data flow through Hadoop architecture components (HDFS, Hive, etc.).


• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.


• Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.


• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and ensure timely resolution.


• Participate in defect triage meetings and contribute to process improvements.


• Required Skills:


• 7+ years of experience in QA testing with a strong focus on ETL processes.


• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL and database validation.


• Experience working with DB2 database systems.


• Good understanding of Hadoop ecosystem and data architecture.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
