Information Security Engineer - Building a Secure Digital Fortress
Do you have a passion for safeguarding sensitive data and keeping systems secure?
We're looking for a skilled Information Security Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in protecting our organization's digital assets. You'll be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to prevent cyber threats and ensure compliance.
What you'll be doing:
Security Expertise: Leverage your knowledge to assess and implement advanced security solutions, from firewalls to intrusion detection systems.
Proactive Defense: Develop and oversee vulnerability management strategies to identify and address potential weaknesses in our systems.
Incident Response: Lead investigations and recommend effective solutions when security incidents occur.
Collaboration is Key: Work closely with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure security best practices are implemented across the organization.
Evolving Landscape: Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
Communication & Knowledge Sharing: Clearly explain complex security concepts to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
Building the Future: Participate in creating and updating security standards and procedures to ensure ongoing protection.
Investing in the Team: Share your expertise and help develop the talent of entry level IT and security team members.
Are you the right fit?
8+ years of experience in network and information security (experience with CheckPoint a plus).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to data security.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Certifications like CISSP, GCIH, GCFE, CISM, or CCSE are a plus.
