Job Title: SAP Enterprise Architect
Location: Downtown Houston, TX (100% onsite) Need only local candidates Duration: 12+ Months
Job Summary:
The SAP Enterprise Architect plays a key leadership role in defining and maintaining the enterprise-wide SAP roadmap, ensuring alignment between the business strategy and IT architecture. This position requires deep expertise in SAP platforms and modules (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori) and experience designing scalable, integrated, and secure SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the enterprise SAP architecture strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead architecture design and governance for SAP solutions including S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Fiori, and legacy SAP ECC systems.
- Collaborate with business and IT leaders to translate functional requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to SAP implementation teams and solution architects.
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies (e.g., SAP BTP, AI/ML tools, SAP Analytics Cloud) and provide recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards and SAP best practices.
- Lead SAP landscape modernization efforts (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA migration).
- Oversee data integration, master data governance, and interface strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Support vendor selection, technical due diligence, and contract negotiations related to SAP platforms and services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in SAP architecture, including at least 3 5 years in a lead/enterprise architect role.
- Deep understanding of SAP solutions including S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, SAP PI/PO, and integration with third-party platforms.
- Experience with SAP migrations, especially ECC to S/4HANA.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Skills:
- SAP certifications (e.g., S/4HANA, TOGAF, SAP BTP)
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments
- Knowledge of industry-specific SAP solutions (e.g., SAP IS-U for utilities, SAP IS-Retail)
