    • A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
    • An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
    • A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
    • 11 years of recent specialized experience


    Experience Required
    • 3 - 11 years of recent specialized experience required based on Education Requirements

    Certification Requirements
    • DoD 8570 Certification: IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent).
    • Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CISSP certifications preferred

    Clearance Requirements

    Secret clearance is required. Must have clearance (and relevant certifications) prior to start in role.

Job Title: OCONUS Network Engineer II - Germany

Location: Stuttgart, Germany

Travel Required: 10% - 25%

Primary Responsibilities

WWT is seeking a Network Engineer who will serve on a team of technical Engineers in support of multiple government programs. Candidates will be involved in the planning, design, development, implementation, and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks that includes requirements analysis and optimizing network performance. The ideal candidate will possess good communication, presentation, and writing skills. They will have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment supporting the Department of the Navy.
  • Provide technical leadership for various projects to meet goals and timelines.
  • Design technical solutions to address project requirements.
  • Deep understanding of various technologies including
    • Layer 2 Switching
      • VLANs
      • Trunking
      • Switch configuration, hardening, and troubleshooting
    • Layer 3 Routing
    • VPN Technologies
      • Aruba VIA
      • Cisco Secure Client
      • IPSec Point to Multipoint
    • VMWare vSphere and ESXi
    • Firewall Systems
      • Cisco
      • Juniper
      • Palo Alto

  • Deep understanding of TCP/UDP transport technologies and general port allocations.
  • Understand the architecture of the virtual environment and make recommendations and changes that will provide enhancements.
  • Develops advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
  • Troubleshoots highly complex system hardware and software issues.
  • Develops training materials for end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Conducts advanced hardware and software audits of the system to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
  • Evaluates existing systems and plans long-term strategies.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task lead.
