Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to support project planning and execution efforts in the Atlanta area. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in schedule development, project controls, and stakeholder coordination. This role plays a critical part in ensuring project timelines are realistic, achievable, and aligned with contractual and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret bid documents to determine project scope and constraints
- Lead and facilitate Schedule Orientation Sessions for contractors
- Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques to develop and manage project schedules
- Motivate and build trust within project teams to support collaborative planning
- Review contractor schedules for compliance with industry best practices and contract requirements
- Develop and analyze What-If Scenarios based on changes, planning needs, and assessments
- Perform Forensic Scheduling using project documentation to assess delays and impacts
- Deliver training sessions to clients and contractors on planning and scheduling best practices
- Track and verify project documentation including submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, field reports, change orders, addendums, and payment applications
- Maintain and update workflows related to schedule submittals
- Prepare reports and tracking spreadsheets for schedule analysis and performance monitoring
- Apply 21st Century Integrated Project Controls to enhance planning and execution efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project scheduling, preferably in construction and engineering industry
- Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6)
- Strong understanding of CPM methodology and forensic scheduling techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead training sessions and collaborate with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with integrated project controls systems
- Familiarity with Unifier or similar project management platforms
- Certification in project scheduling or project management (e.g., PMI-SP, PMP)
