Description

Our client is seeking an experienced On-Site IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary technical resource in the Toronto office. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional passionate about delivering best-in-class support and maintaining local infrastructure. As a key member of the IT team, you will ensure seamless operations for creative, technical, and operational teams by bridging frontline support and enterprise IT strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing deskside support, managing local network components, and partnering with global teams to maintain and improve IT systems. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, reliability, and a positive user experience across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Technical & End-User Support: Act as the primary on-site IT presence, delivering professional, customer-focused support for hardware, software, and collaboration tools (MacOS, Windows, and mobile devices). Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Onboarding & Setup: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including new hire onboarding, deskside setups, imaging, configurations, and offboarding processes.
  • AV & Event Support: Provide hands-on audio/visual and meeting support for company events and all-hands sessions, including setup, testing, and live troubleshooting.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot network components such as IDF closets, switches, routers, VLANs, and cabling. Collaborate with global teams for upgrades, replacements, and escalations.
  • Service Management: Log, update, and manage support requests in ServiceNow. Uphold ITIL-aligned service delivery standards and drive process improvements for operational excellence.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Build strong relationships with local business teams and global IT groups. Communicate technical issues, escalations, and project updates clearly and proactively.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in desktop/end-user support within a global enterprise environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of MacOS, Windows, Office 365, JAMF, and endpoint management tools.
  • Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with Okta, Google Workspace, Box, Zoom, Slack.
  • Networking: Intermediate skills in switches, routers, VLANs, and cabling.
  • Process Knowledge: Experience with ITIL processes, ServiceNow, and Jira.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, or ITIL (not required but a plus).

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $73.00/hr.
