Raytheon is seeking an individual to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer - P3 position supporting Continuous Monitoring and maintenance of Authority to Operate on Government customer accredited assets.The ideal candidate will have cyber experience across the full spectrum of cyber operations from a mission execution perspective, to include vulnerability management, compliance management, database, and enterprise information security infrastructure. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do
  • Review and adjudicate Tenable/Nessus Findings
  • Assessing known systems vulnerabilities and verifying system hardening and patching activities to ensure compliance with the most current applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)/Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) and related checklists
  • Plan of action and milestones (POAM) work off
  • Assessment and Authorization Support (A&A)
  • Software Assurance
  • Cyber security engineering in support of system development

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Top Secret with CI Polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Experience with Tenable Security Center, Nessus for vulnerability and compliance assessment
  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37, NIST Special Publication 800-53 and NIST Special Publication 800-171
  • Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II (Security+ or equivalent) Compliant Certification

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Understanding of DoD RMF Certification and Accreditation Processes, assessing and validating compliance with IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
  • Experience with STIG Viewer and performing Manual Checks
  • Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent) Compliant Certification
  • Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
