Systems Engineering Lead with deep expertise in COBOL, Unix scripting, and DB2 LUW. This is a client-facing role supporting an industrial client focused on aftermarket and service parts. You'll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting application systems used in a mission-critical environment.

responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve software issues within COBOL-based applications
- Provide L1/L2 support to technical users and business teams
- Perform software maintenance tasks: patches, upgrades, and configs
- Monitor performance and resolve system alerts proactively
- Collaborate with dev, infra, and support teams across disciplines
- Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge bases
qualifications:
- 6+ years of COBOL (Mainframe) experience
- 6+ years of Unix scripting
- 6+ years working with DB2 LUW
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Proven history of hands-on application maintenance and support
- Excellent written documentation skills
