RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Critical Facility Support Engineer (Electrical) in Redmond, WA.

Summary:
As a Critical Environment (CE) Support Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and operating the mission-critical infrastructure. This position ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems that power our data centers and high-availability environments. We are hiring for multiple levels (Entry and Intermediate) based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily operational checks on electrical equipment (temperatures, voltages, currents)
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and planned work activities
* Support UPS preventive maintenance, battery systems, and electrical distribution
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, sensors, and control panels
* Execute advanced tasks such as Power Distribution Unit (PDU) shutdowns, Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdowns, and Power Interruption Testing (PIT)
* Utilize Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for diagnostics and reporting
* Document all work orders and maintenance activities in internal systems
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, NFPA 70E, and Microsoft security protocols
* Collaborate with vendors and contractors during maintenance and upgrades
* Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in root cause analysis

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
* All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification
* 3+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center)
* Experience with electrical systems in a high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields
* Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code
* Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3-, 4-, or 5-day work weeks
* Preferred: Qualified Electrical Worker
* Previous datacenter experience a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
