Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Validation Engineer to lead the testing and validation of semiconductor components, data center hardware, and GPUs. This role is critical in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. The successful candidate will be adept in system-level validation including both rack and tray level systems and will bring a strong background in Python scripting for test automation. This position is based on-site and involves managing a team across three different shifts including day, swing, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive validation test plans for semiconductor components, data center hardware, and GPUs, ensuring adherence to performance and reliability standards.
  • Conduct power, thermal, and stress tests, as well as functional validations across various hardware configurations to guarantee system robustness.
  • Lead troubleshooting and analytical efforts to identify root causes of hardware failures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to propose effective solutions.
  • Utilize advanced lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and PCIe analyzers to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring hardware signal integrity.
  • Design and implement Python scripts for automating test executions, enhancing data collection, and facilitating intricate data analysis.
  • Create and execute software validation tests to ensure compatibility between hardware components and software systems including drivers and firmware.
  • Analyze test data to detect patterns, anomalies, and performance bottlenecks, and prepare detailed reports on findings to guide future product development.
  • Engage with design and manufacturing teams to refine testing protocols and improve the overall validation process of systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware validation, system-level testing, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in rack and tray level system validation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for scripting and automation of test processes.
  • Substantial experience with hardware validation tools such as oscilloscopes and PCIe analyzers; proficiency with oscilloscopes is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in software validation, particularly with driver, firmware, and operating system testing.
  • Deep understanding of system architectures, including CPU-GPU interactions and memory subsystems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of conducting thorough debugging at both the hardware and software levels.
  • Availability to manage and work across multiple shifts including weekends and evenings as required.
