Description: Our client is currently seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer 2

Test & Evaluation Engineer 2 - Environmental Testing

Location: Hill AFB, UT

Schedule: 1st Shift | 4/10s | 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Duration: 12 months (potential for full-time conversion)

Position Summary:

Seeking a motivated Test & Evaluation Engineer to support environmental testing activities. This role involves hands-on work with test systems, data analysis, and hardware/software design under direct supervision. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of electrical principles, test equipment, and environmental testing standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing requirements for test measurement systems.
  • Support development of test procedures, instrumentation, and configurations.
  • Perform data analysis and develop tools for data processing and reporting.
  • Design and verify simple hardware or software components.
  • Maintain test logs, prepare reports, and ensure complete data collection.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain automatic test equipment and associated software.
  • Support the integration and assembly of test hardware.
  • Apply general knowledge of EMI/EMC, analog/digital circuits, and embedded systems.


Required Skills:
  • Basic proficiency with test support equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
  • General understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (Export Control compliance).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with nuclear hardness and survivability testing.
  • Familiarity with electrical design practices and high-voltage systems (e.g., Marx generators, pulse forming).
  • Experience operating radiation-producing equipment.
  • Knowledge of microelectronics performance in radiation environments.


Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience, or a master's degree in engineering.
