We are seeking a Senior Product Manager for our Perioperative IT team.

The Epic Senior Product Manager for our Perioperative team will have in-depth knowledge of perioperative and other clinical workflows.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple teams/individuals.
  • Develop project work plans, work breakdown structures and schedules and ensure projects are consistent with the overall stakeholder objectives and strategic plans.
  • Provide high-level input on product design and optimization.
  • Provide expert guidance to the team on new solutions and provide management with insight and recommendations on suggested solutions.
  • Manage resource allocation within the Perioperative group, managing assignments and overseeing work for new implementations (new system roll-out or new functionality) and product maintenance/support.
  • Evaluate the team and its members' level of performance to provide performance management and establish the delivery of top tier services and products to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and identify training needs for team members, ensuring professional development and superior technical expertise.
  • Responsible for staffing decisions and promotion of team members.
  • Oversee and manage projects ranging in size, complexity, and scope.
  • Manage product requests, review requirements and specifications, and collaborate closely with technical teams and end-users to assure high quality.
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of product solutions, ensuring that the product meets the intended needs of the stakeholder. Collaborate with other teams within the company to achieve this.
  • Participate in system go-lives.


Requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience managing implementation and support teams including for Epic and third-party systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in an enterprise healthcare setting.
  • Product full cycle implementation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of inpatient clinical workflows preferred.
  • IT System development and life cycle experience.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Strong skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to motivate team members.
  • Ability to match team member skills to team responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Desired:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with any of the following Epic Modules: Clin Doc, HODs, MyChart, Haiku / Canto, Kaleidoscope, Phoenix, Bones, Reporting Workbench


Meeting all requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment.
