Position Overview

A highly regarded structural engineering firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join their Los Angeles team. This role is ideal for candidates with 3 6+ years of building design experience who are looking for career growth through exciting and complex structural engineering projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Master s degree in Structural Engineering from a U.S. university.
  • Experience: 3 6+ years of structural engineering experience with a strong focus on building design.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in designing and detailing large-scale structural systems.
  • Strong background in Type I construction (steel and concrete structures).
  • Familiarity with building codes, seismic design, and structural analysis principles.
  • Proficiency in Revit and experience coordinating with architects, consultants, and draftspersons.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DSA and OSHPD projects (preferred but not required).
  • Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and detail structural systems for large, complex building projects across multiple market sectors.
  • Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, architects, consultants, and Revit draftspersons.
  • Conduct structural analysis, code compliance checks, and detailed calculations for steel and concrete structures.
  • Participate in client meetings, technical reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Assist in mentoring junior staff and contribute to team development initiatives.
