Director Of MSP in IT Infrastructure

Position: Director of MSP/ MSP Manager in (IT Infrastructure)
Location: Remote (Central or Eastern Time Zone preferred)

Duration : 6 Months plus extension

Position Summary:

The Director of MSP Oversight and Compliance is responsible for managing the Client's Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Internal IT Infrastructure (ITI) Team Members, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency. This role ensures MSP and internal ITI alignment with the Client s IT Infrastructure Standards, Procedures, and Policies. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure VP, the Director plays a critical role in unifying diverse teams and service providers under the Client s strategic framework to ensure a cohesive and compliant IT infrastructure. This position fosters strong relationships and manages collaboration between the Client and its IT partners.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on MSP oversight and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Client s strategic IT MSPs and Internal IT Infrastructure Team members. Act as the primary liaison to ensure smooth communication and partnership.
• Compliance and Standards Alignment: Ensure that IT MSPs and the Client s Internal Infrastructure teams consistently adhere to the Client s IT Infrastructure standards, processes, and procedures. Collaborate closely with IT Infrastructure and Information Security teams to align strategies and operations.
• Contractual Oversight: Oversee and manage the contractual aspects of agreements with MSPs, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess and report on the performance and compliance of MSPs to ensure service delivery meets the Client s expectations and requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving alignment and addressing gaps regarding IT infrastructure standards, processes, and procedures while increasing maturity for IT Infrastructure services.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in MSP operations and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure proactive management of compliance-related risks.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of the IT Team by aligning MSP activities with broader organizational goals.
