Job Details:
Title: SQL Server DBA(Level 4)
Location: Atlanta, GA/ Minneapolis, MN/Irving, TX/ Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration:06+ Months Contract

The candidate will be expected to:

  1. Evaluate existing SQL Servers to understand configurations, workloads, and dependencies.
  2. Design and build new SQL Server infrastructure according to standards.
  3. Coordinate and execute migrations from self-managed environments to centrally managed SQL infrastructure.
  4. Implement and validate backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  5. Ensure data security and access control across production and non-production environments.
  6. Perform performance monitoring and tuning to optimize database operations.
  7. Work with development teams to support query tuning and optimization.
  8. Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and standards.
  9. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior DBAs or support teams.
  10. Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support HA/DR and clustering implementations.

Required Skills/Technologies (with Experience Levels):

  • SQL Server Infrastructure DBA 7+ years
  • Expertise in:
    • SQL Server installation, configuration, and patching
    • Backup and recovery strategy implementation
    • Performance tuning and monitoring
    • Security and access control
    • Clustering and high availability setups
    • Scripting (PowerShell or T-SQL)
