Job Title: Senior IT Business Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Role Summary:
This is a Business Analyst position responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, supporting process improvements, and helping deliver effective documentation and communication across teams. The person will work closely with different stakeholders to support the organization s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and analyze information from internal and external stakeholders.
* Document business processes, quality standards, workflows, and project requirements.
* Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to support process improvements.
* Create reports, user guides, audit logs, training materials, and system documentation.
* Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
* Lead and facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations.
Special Focus Areas:
* Process Improvement & Quality Assurance: Use industry methods like LEAN, Kaizen, or DMAIC to drive improvements.
* Change Management: Help assess if the organization is ready for changes and support those transitions.
* Tools Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, MS Project), and experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and ALM tools like Microfocus or Salesforce is a plus.
* Methodologies: Familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle), including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid models.
You must have:
* 12+ years as a Business Analyst in large enterprise environments.
* 6+ years creating detailed documentation and analysis reports.
* 6+ years working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
* 5+ years developing use cases and user stories that lead to clear project requirements.
* 5+ years leading meetings and requirements-gathering sessions.
* 4+ years presenting project updates and KPIs.
* 4+ years experience with SDLC and PMLC methodologies.
