ONSITE - New York, NY / Seattle, WA / Burlingame, CA

  • LOA backfill for Director on team throughout 12/31/25, open to extension
  • How many rounds of interviews? 3 rounds


Onsite in either New York, Seattle, or Burlingame

Must-Have Skills

  1. Previous experience designing for wearables hardware
  2. Previous experience working with big tech companies and proven experience working with a complex set of stakeholders to drive business outcomes
  3. Very high craft experience, demonstrated through a strong portfolio that showcases the work

Years of Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on wearable products or similar industries

Degrees/Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, experience matters more than education

Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Drive work streams across multiple experiences and wearable products, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in day-to-day responsibilities
  • Build high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, identify opportunities, and develop design strategies that meet user needs
  • Develop and present compelling narratives and decks to represent your work, including design concepts, prototypes, and research findings
  • Present design work to senior leadership, articulating design decisions and trade-offs
  • Uplevel the rest of the team by sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices in product design
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools to continuously improve design quality and efficiency

Purpose/Size of this team & where does this position fit within the team?

  • Role will sit with the product design team of around 40 people, this role will be director level but will not be in a manager role as far as leading people on team but should have all the areas of expertise of a director

How will performance be measured?

  • We will meet weekly and outline deliverables that will change throughout the assignment, determine on how they deliver on very clear outlined prototypes and concepts

Job Summary:
As a Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the experience for a wide area of the product.
Responsibilities:

  • Drive work streams across multiple experiences and wearable products, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in day-to-day responsibilities

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on wearable products or similar industries
  • Highly proficient in Figma, with the ability to create complex prototypes and design systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and trade-offs to senior leadership
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective design solutions
  • Experience with design systems, accessibility, and inclusive design principles
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, experience matters more than education
