Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Management Support (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the centralized point of contact and subject matter expert for all managers seeking guidance on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, performance management, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct thorough, objective, and timely employee relations investigations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate resolutions in line with bank policy and legal requirements.
- Monitor the HR helpdesk/inquiry system (NODIFI) for incoming questions, ensuring timely and accurate responses to both employees and managers across all HR functions.
- Promote fair and consistent application of bank policies and practices, advising managers to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Employee Experience & Process Improvement
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of all HR-related employee touch points (e.g., benefits administration, internal communication, service requests) to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas of friction.
- Analyze employee data, including 30-60-90 day new hire survey data, to pinpoint breakdowns in the onboarding process or other organizational challenges, developing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the HR team to implement process changes and new systems that streamline HR operations and enhance the overall employee service experience.
- Develop and facilitate training for managers and employees on best practices related to employee experience and new HR processes.
General HR Administration
- Recruiting and Talent Acquisition: Manage recruitment coordination, from initial screening and interview scheduling to drafting and presenting offer letters.
- New Hire & Orientation: Conduct new hire orientation sessions, ensuring a welcoming and compliant start for all new employees.
- Career Pathing and Guidance: Provide individual counseling and resources to employees regarding their career development, internal mobility, and performance improvement plans.
- Assist with other core HR functions as needed, including performance reviews, benefits administration support, and HR reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations and Employment law.
- Proven experience in HR data analysis, surveying, and process improvement (e.g., analyzing survey data, identifying root causes of inefficiency).
- Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality, build trust, and advise management with confidence and professionalism.
- Experience in the financial services or banking industry is a plus.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly desirable.
