Job Description:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data quality roles.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks, data governance principles, and metadata management.
  • Experience using tools like Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Collibra, Alation, or other data cataloging platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience conducting data assessments and profiling to identify data quality issues and define Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
  • Proficiency in defining and executing Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) and data lineage tracing.
  • Hands-on experience performing root cause analysis (RCA) for DQ issues and coordinating data remediation at the source.
  • Strong understanding of medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) in cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure).
  • Experience in classifying data into business domains/subject areas like Customer, Product, Sales, Finance, etc.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and ability to support privacy impact assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end data assessments and data profiling across all in-scope data sources.
  • Define, implement, and test data quality rules across Landing, Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
  • Identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and classify data into appropriate business domains and subject areas.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of DQ issues, define and oversee execution of remediation plans, and confirm successful implementation.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment on data governance objectives and quality standards.
  • Perform and support data cataloging, lineage documentation, and metadata enrichment using enterprise tools.
