Position Overview

The DevOps Engineer will be part of our Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Team, responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and automation-driven cloud infrastructure supporting SAP products and services. This team emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first deployment practices across multiple cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal product teams and external customers, building cloud-agnostic, scalable solutions that support both government and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using Terraform; debug and resolve IaC-related issues.
Execute and modify Ansible playbooks for managing and troubleshooting infrastructure environments.
Utilize GitLab for version control and create merge requests for infrastructure changes.
Configure, build, and deploy containerized services using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues between customer and hosted environments.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, design diagrams, and governance processes.
Create and maintain SOPs, technical bulletins, and knowledge base articles for operational support.
Operate with a security-first mindset in all design and deployment activities.
Implement monitoring, configuration management, and logging capabilities for multi-tenant, multi-cloud environments.
Leverage Generative AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational consistency within security guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
5 8+ years of hands-on experience with:

• Python, Terraform, Ansible, Concourse CI/CD, Vault, Identity Management
• Unix/Linux administration (filesystems, inodes, system calls, OS hardening)
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, SDN, network topologies)
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Ability to debug, optimize, and automate complex infrastructure tasks.
Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience supporting federal, state, or government-related clients is a plus.
