Job Details

Lead Engineer - Network (Avangrid Service Company, Orange, CT):

Responsible for the planning, implementation and continuous improvement/modernization of Avangrid corporate network; including strategy, design, upgrades, deployment, retirement and troubleshooting of components. Experience in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures. Experience in designing, planning and implementing cloud solutions, troubleshooting and ensuring network is responsive to user demands. Responsible for architecting new integrations and deployments in order to standardize network technologies.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $127,878 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer networks, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.

Of the required experience, must have a minimum of 5 years of hands on experience with Cisco IOS / NXOS and related technologies;

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in all of the following:

  • Network engineering, design and troubleshooting;
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches and Wireless technologies; and
  • WLANs, NAT, DMVPN, BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF;

A minimum of 1 year of experience with structured cabling.
